Now Accepting Evaluation Referrals for Ages 13 and Older

Neurodiverse Spectrum is proud to announce that Nancy Wainscott, LPC-A, will now be providing comprehensive Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD evaluations for adolescents and adults ages 13 and older.

What makes our evaluation services different is Nancy’s more than 30 years of experience working directly with autistic children, teens, and adults across a variety of settings. Her extensive background provides a level of clinical insight that goes beyond standardized testing alone.

While we utilize established, evidence-based assessment tools and diagnostic procedures, our evaluations are uniquely informed by decades of real-world experience supporting neurodivergent individuals. This allows us to recognize presentations of autism and ADHD that are often overlooked by traditional assessment approaches.

Special Expertise in Complex and Missed Diagnoses

Many individuals reach adolescence or adulthood without receiving an accurate diagnosis. Some have been previously diagnosed with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, or other conditions without anyone recognizing the underlying presence of autism or ADHD.

Neurodiverse Spectrum specializes in evaluating individuals who:

  • Have been previously misdiagnosed or misunderstood
  • Suspect they may be autistic despite prior evaluations
  • Present with subtle or masked autistic traits
  • Are seeking clarity after years of unanswered questions
  • Wonder whether ADHD, autism, or both may explain their experiences

Understanding Autism in Women

Research and clinical experience have shown that many autistic women and girls learn to “mask” or camouflage their autistic characteristics in social situations. As a result, they are frequently overlooked during childhood and may not receive a diagnosis until adolescence or adulthood.

Nancy’s extensive experience working with autistic individuals across the lifespan allows her to recognize these often-missed presentations and provide thoughtful, individualized assessments that consider the many ways autism can present.

Our Commitment

At Neurodiverse Spectrum, we believe that an accurate diagnosis can be life-changing. Whether the outcome confirms autism, ADHD, another condition, or no diagnosis at all, our goal is to provide clear answers, meaningful insights, and recommendations that help individuals better understand themselves and access appropriate support.
